Cons: Was told when I arrived that there was no car available even though I booked in advance. You should not advertise car availability when I'm fact no cars are available.
Pros: I like nothing about my car rental experience. First I requested a minvan, but got a car. The cars are poorly maintain. I had to return one car to get another but there were both junks. The service was so slow you could have gone to bed and still didn't miss anything.
Cons: Obviously, the condition of the cars. Making sure that what is requested is what one receive. The staff should be train to understand when one just completed a flight that maybe be long and tiresome from delays and the woes of traveling, to reach their final destination, customer wants to go!

Cons: The check in took a while. The car was old and not well maintained. The headlights were not properly aligned, and so I had to drive with the high beam on during the night. The engine was not properly tuned and raced, thus using a lot of gas. The interior of the car smelt of stale smoke.

Cons: we've been traveling with 2 kids (both with car seats) and 3 adults on bad roads (mountains in Jamaica). For that, we wanted to have a larger, more comfortable car. We have booked car in category of "Luxury SUV" with description of "Mitsubishi Pajero or similar". What we got instead of Suzuki Vitara in a very basic configuration. No camera for reversing, no USB or bluetooth support for radio... Description and reality turned out to be two completely different things.

Cons: Tinted vehicle, I would not rent another vehicle from this establishment for this fact. It is irresponsible to not participate in tinting vehicle, the vehicle stands out more as it does not conform to social norms and adds a layer of unnecessary danger to a visiting driver.

Pros: Staff was excellent, drop off and drop in point also in good location. Near airport.
Cons: I didn't expect that the car rental price is not included insurance what makes half of price in day from car price. Total expenses was more than I was expected and any other options to don't buy insurance and drive was not a option. So I have a question - why don't you put already that insurance cost in day charge for the car? I felt really disappointed.

The staff at Ace was excellent. They were very polite and professional. I had no issues to complain. The car was fluid efficient, which is what I needed in today's high gas prices. I especially love the drop off location in New Kingston. Which saved me this long trip back to airport.

Over priced rentals!

Cons: First of all, I'm not the type to leave comments but I had to this time because I don't want anyone to be in the position I was in on their vacation/trip. Ok so my flight to Kingston, Jamaica came in a little later than was scheduled due to the weather, so one would assume that my vehicle would be ready and waiting since my scheduled pick up time. It wasn't, and no explanation was given as to why it wasn't. The representative at the counter took forever to process the papers, all in the meantime talking to (and about) other co-workers, answering personal cell phone calls, and text messages. That was very unprofessional. I made a reservation and ended up having to pay more than the original amount that was on my reservation. Then the vehicle I got for the amount of money I paid was in terrible conditions. All the lights on the dash would come on and off constantly. The door lights stayed on for the entire trip. I went around the vehicle, opening and ensuring that all the doors were closed, but the light remained on. I was traveling with my family, including my children and I wasn't comfortable seeing the door light on. Another thing, the seats did not adjust. Half the seatbelts in the vehicle did not work. That vehicle should not be rented to anyone else. It's evident that the vehicle was involved in an accident and the repairs were not well done. The ride was uncomfortable and the only thing I could think of and prayed about was that nothing would happen to my family in this vehicle before I return it. Because it sure felt like it was gonna break at any point. I will NEVER RENT FROM ACE/ISLAND RENTAL EVER AGAIN. Not even here in the U.S.

Pros: The staff was super friendly. Pick up and drop off was an ease. I hope the prices will be competitive again so I can book with them again.
Pros: Kamarley tried to overcharge me. My two weeks res. Was for $531.24. Upon arriving I gave him the reservation number and he confirm my name and that I had it booked for two weeks and I declined all extras. He then said my total is $700.00, I asked for a breakdown of the price (never got it)
Cons: They will try to overcharge you and when you refuse to pay more than your reservation rate, they make you wait for hours before you get a car.

Pros: The agent who eventually worked with us tried to make the process smooth after the initial confusion.
Cons: Flight arrived in Kingston at 5am. Went to booth I airport told the office where we need to get our van does not open till 8am. The agent told our group of 6 we need to find our way to the other Hertz office. She said no ride could be provided to the alternate location. We had to get a cab from the airport with our luggage to another location then wait until 8:30 for an agent to arrive. No receipt yet so not sure what the charges are

Going with another Car Rental Agency next time
Pros: The office was clean yet the employees were serving 3 people all at the same time, rather than prioritizing by whom was there first. Took us 1.5 hours to leave the office with a predetermined rental processed by Kayak.
Cons: Slow uninformed service. We were told that we HAD to pay for insurance when our AMEX platinum covers us until they had to call the company. 1.5 hours to process the rental that was reserved and processed by Kayak with ALL of our information. Upon return, we were told that we "may be" charged for the flat tire we had to change. It just seems they are trying to make another buck at every step so be on your guard.

Cons: I was unable to locate thrifty or anyone that could direct me to get to thrifty rentals. There were no signs for thrifty where the rental cars were. I asked information in the airport and they had no knowledge of thrifty rental being located in or even near the airport. I tried racing them by the number provided and no one answered. This left me scrambling to find another place to rent from last minute which of course cost more money.
